Sahakol Equipment wins the Hongsa Operation and Maintenance Services of Waste Line 2 System and Operation and Maintenance Services for Ash Conveyor System, valued 2,265 Million Baht.
Sahakol Equipment company limited has received the Letter of Award, dated March 1, 2019, from Hongsa Power Company Limited (HPC) for Operation and Maintenance Services for Waste Line 2 System and Operation and Maintenance Services for Ash Conveyor System contract worth 2,265 million baht. The seven-year contract will start from January 2020 to December 2026. The new project will increase the company’s backlog of work in hand to 35,200 million baht.
Apart from revenue and backlog growth, winning the WL2 system operation and maintenance contract will also strategically benefit the current contract D project in Hongsa (worth 11,742.7 million from 2015 to 2026). This is because the contract D project scope is to excavate waste to the WL2 system. By owning both contracts, Sahakol will be able to increase contract D operating efficiency through managing both waste excavation and transport at the same time.
The Waste Line 2 System has a capacity of 34 million BCM / YR, 2400 millimeter in width, 10 stations of conveyor belt, 10 kilometer in length, and 6 semi-mobile crusher units. While the ash has 3 kilometers in length, 1.2 meter belt in width, 2.5 meters/second speed, and uses for transporting ash from coal powerplant to waste area. With more than 40 years of experience in mining conveyor operation, Sahakol is confident that its professional management and experts will be able to accomplish the new project.
